Review on Efficient Mirror Removal Tool: OTC 8200A - Simplify Your DIY Projects! by James Murphy

SOMETIMES it works! - Tool sets

I have used this tool about 3 times. Once upon a time there was a new Ford Taurus. Worked great. Mirror removed with no problems. Twice on an older F-150. Again no problem. Removed the mirror immediately. Then I tried it on a new 4-cylinder Mustang. I only mention that it was a 4 cylinder engine because the mirrors on the Mustang GT have a screw, oddly enough. I inserted the tool from above as instructed and the mirror would not come loose. Knowing that I could break the windshield, I asked the Mustang's owner, who works as a technician, to try it himself. I told him he could probably break the windshield and I don't need part of it. He ended up tearing off a piece of the windshield and breaking my tools. Yes, I bought a legit 8200a, not a cheap fake, and the tip broke. Please be careful when using this. If the mirror doesn't come off easily enough, STOP! Better try to compress the clip and shoot at the mirror.
