I usually buy apec brand name filters for my reverse osmosis system but decided to give them a try. They looked the same but when comparing I noticed that the 2 CAB filters were 5 microns and not my regular Apec filters which were 10 microns. The smaller the microns, the more that can usually be filtered out, so that's a plus and a fraction of the normal cost.
