I see a lot of outrage about anything plastic but the sponges I received were not plastic at all! Perhaps the manufacturer heard everyone. Anyway, mine came in a resealable brown wax paper bag, all together with no individual packaging. That's all. The sponges themselves are just as durable as the plastic sponges I've used before, maybe even longer, because they don't start deteriorating immediately when I use bleach-based cleaners. I'm still on my first and it's been almost two months. (Don't worry - I use a lot of bleach these days *um-pandemic-um* :D so they don't start smelling bad or something!) I also love the color they come in - nice relaxing shades of green and brown!
