This is the third or fourth wood stove I have ever owned. Despite this, I still consider myself a very novice. I love this craft but every other gadget I've had had ONE pen which after trying hard to do a good job I threw in a drawer in disgust and then quickly lost it during the move. (It's like the THING on me.) I don't see it happening on this one. There is a very handy case where you can store the tool, tips and the template attached to them. Also included is a very useful book of craft ideas. Despite all that, the main benefit for me was the warranty. Incredibly cool and worth the price. With that in my arsenal - or should it be "arson"? Take it? Ha! -- I'm going to do a very big project in the future. I'm so glad I bought it and didn't go for the cheaper version like I used to.
