I have used tennis balls for plantar fasciitis with limited success and golf balls have been too painful. I once started using lacrosse balls and a ledge ball which was very uncomfortable at first BUT marked improvement with very little discomfort by day 3 using these balls 3 times a day. Once before running, once after running and once at night before bed. After day 9 there is little or no discomfort from fasciitis when the balls are used twice a day. Once before and once after the run.
