I was thrilled to use this stand mixer (my third Cuisinart in 50 years). I needed one with a larger bowl and I had a smaller bowl. This model met the requirements. My first and only attempt so far was to make hummus using the recipe (with minor modifications like more garlic and some cayenne pepper) included in the leaflet that came with the processor. After chopping the parsley, lemon zest, salt, and garlic with the Momentum button, I added everything else and hit the high button. It started but stopped after I released the button. I tried again two or three times and each time the car stopped after I let go of the button. My husband came to help me and the same thing happened. Then he tried again, pressed the high level button for a few seconds and voila!, he stuck with it. So the manual should state that you have to press and hold the top button (and bottom button) for a few seconds to keep it powered on. I was glad I didn't have to send the processor back as it would take me a while to figure out how to put everything back in the box!
