This 24 volt , 40 VA (watts) transformer is a must if you have recently installed a video doorbell and your existing analog chime doesn't sound every when the doorbell button is pressed.Though the video doorbell manufacturers say their product works with existing doorbell wiring and transformers, typically 16 volts -10VA (watts), what they don't tell is that the unit will alert the app on your phone but it draws so much power it will not sound the existing analog doorbell every time . This replacement powerful transformer fits the bill. Its UL listed and easy to install if you are an electrician (like me) .I have had several customers contact me after they installed a video doorbell with the complaint of the existing chime not working . This replacement works very well and is compatible with the Ring , Google, Scout, etc video units.They are in stock . I am able to get my order the next day which is good because the pandemic has caused a worldwide shortage of electrical equipment and my local electrical suppliers are out of stock of these transformers as well as lots of other equipment.
