UPDATED 8/28/2020 -- I've had these ice cream scoops for about 2 years now and they're just as amazing now as they were when I first dipped the first scoop in them. Awesome, super easy to scoop hard frozen ice with almost no effort. This product has one major downside. I had to join a gym to lose all the weight I had gained by eating way more ice cream! Without common sense, I went ahead and bought one of these ice cream scoops. How could someone spend so much money on ordinary kitchen utensils? However. I bought a liter of ice cream in anticipation of these stupid purchases. When it arrived I realized I might be a lot dumber than I thought as the shovel came packaged in a very attractive gift box. But as soon as I took the shovel out, I realized that it wasn't an ordinary shovel - it was heavy, shiny, and very odd-looking. Luckily, there were guides on how to use it most efficiently (in different languages!). I decided to give it a try and pulled out a box of ice cream. and, wow. Yes wow the ice cream was rock hard, I bent the spoons and even broke our last scoop of ice cream on such hard ice cream. But the Midnight Scoop easily dipped right into the ice cream and easily scooped it up! It was like a hot knife through butter! The bottom line is how you pick up the scoop - it's almost weird when you're holding an ice cream scoop, but it works and requires almost no effort! Do I still feel this nagging sense of poor judgment? Yes, but that's only because I'm eating a lot more ice cream now and my pants are suddenly starting to shrink.
