My situation: I have 100Mbps internet through Xfinity. Bought a 2.4GHz TP Link modem/router a few months ago. The max speed was 65 Mbps, so I wanted to see if adding a dual-band router would increase the speed. My Experience: The N750 worked fine when connected via Ethernet (I connected it to an Nvidia Shield and got a stable 105-119 Mbps, which is pretty darn fast). Using the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band, this device was a huge disappointment. I walked less than 10 meters from the router and when using the 5GHz band I went back to 1 bar on my MacBook Pro + Pixel XL and 2-3 bars when using 2.4GHz. My point: if you're just using this for ethernet, it's a huge win. If you hope to use it as a Wi-Fi router, don't you dare click the buy button. I will send it back after use in just 3 days. My Comcast installer said TP Link has some great dual band gigabit routers. I will most likely go this route.
