This tool allows you to easily separate the ball joints from what they are attached to. Simply slide this piece under the ball joint and the other side onto the threaded shaft and tighten. As it begins to tighten, you can tap the knot with a mallet to loosen it while you continue to tighten it. It snaps out violently so nothing should get in the way of the ball joint assembly or you could seriously injure yourself! Overall, this tool seems sturdy and bulky enough to work with any ball joint that fits. This helped me quickly work on several joints that I was replacing. Recommend this tool as you will never break it by ripping it out or beating it to death!
