NFC hasn't worked with the Google Pixel XL yet. I contacted Yubico directly and will update this review over time. Yubico offered to install an NFC reader app for testing. It failed but my google titan didn't. I tried several other NFC reader apps and Titan worked with all of them. Yubiko is gone. Stay with us. Update: January 24, 2019 - Contacting Yubico via email was a good idea. They asked for a photo of my key and a Revain transaction number. No, I didn't get a fake. On Yubiko's advice, I am returning the item for a replacement. I really want this to work because the price is right, it's solid and fits in my wallet (not a regular wallet) and works with laptop (USB) and cellphone (NFC). I should receive a replacement within 2 days. Stay with us. Update 1/26/19: From the day I bought this until today, Yubico people (not just one employee) have emailed me. Today I got a new one, everything works. In fact, it worked without removing it from the plastic container. I have back and side protections with magnets in the back and still no problem. Thanks to the guys at Yubico I can give this one 5 stars. Happy camper here! Update 02/09/2019: Final remark. As soon as I contacted Yubico (directly) and gave them my Revain transaction number, I received emails from several Yubico employees. Responses were pretty quick and helpful. I really like the USB/NFC combo button because it works on any device; desktop or mobile. I add my own USB cover to cover the USB contacts just as a precaution against any static that might get on it during these cold months.
