Review on New Balance Voltage Women's Athletic Running Shoes for Women by Paul Andrews

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I never write reviews so please read if you have foot problems!

To be honest I never write reviews but I found it necessary when someone is going through the same thing as me. my feet/fingers for about a year. So began my adventure of finding a pair of running shoes that could keep me going while running. A year before my pain I was training and running a half marathon on an Asics Nimbus 18 (the best model of the Nimbus). Unfortunately after a few years of using ebay as a shoe source I had to look for new shoes as every runner knows the new models were terrible! In the end, I settled on stream ghosts, which worked well but were never the same. Have been running it for a few months. Fast forward to 6 months ago when I was told to find better running shoes that might solve my problems. Since then I've tried on AT LEAST 10 pairs of shoes. Starting with a new ghost couple. didn't do the job. Then I tried the New Balance 880v9. ok but still a lot of pain. Then I tried the latest Torins. They felt amazing on my feet, but I had severe split shins and then switched to zero drop shoes, which required a transition period that I didn't want to go into. I then tried the Saucony stable shoes that a sneaker store recommended to me. But after a week I had unbearable pain in my knee. Needless to say they have been returned. Then I was told that the new Nimbus (22) was fantastic. My foot pain didn't return until a week later as it was still tight in the toe area. My last attempts were glycerin 17s and these fresh foams. Gilcerins are comfortable but still very tight even after you order a wide one. So I switched to fresh foam. At first it was like I was in a cloud. Very soft, comfortable and plenty of leg room to stretch out. I went for a walk and nothing hurt. I had the heel slip that was mentioned in many previous reviews but after getting creative with my lacing technique it went away. I just did my first run and all of that and I had absolutely no pain the whole time! This hasn't happened to me in 2 years! My toes feel great, my arches don't hurt and my knees feel amazing! I was worried the shoes would slow me down as they felt heavy at first, but they bounced with my step and I didn't even notice the weight as I started to move. I know this is a long review but if there is anyone going through the same ordeal as me I would like to share my experience. I'll keep wearing them for the next few weeks and if all goes well I'll buy myself another pair for a change. I will update my review for those who want to know more. If you have doubts about the purchase, I personally recommend them!
