Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice SUV 235/65 R17 108T winter by Mateusz Banasiuk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality did not disappoint.

This tire is for individuals who, in a nutshell, desire to get a much larger range of impressions from driving in the winter, from five plus to two minus:) If you are ready to undergo a complete disaster while driving into an ice yard or serious snow porridge, then this is the rubber for you. If, on the other hand, you want to enjoy complete delight from the silence in the cabin and driving along streets that are more or less cleaned, then this is not the rubber for you. I ranked her at a four out of ten due to the several favorable characteristics she possesses and the absence of any studs in her clothing. On the other hand, it is possible for it to receive a grade of C when compared to the overall standings of spikes and non-studs for a severe winter. By analogy with the car that my wife drives, which three years ago I took almost the same on Solaris (Goodyear Ultragrip Ice 2), I decided to purchase this rubber for my iX35 early in the month of December. And if we compare the two, we can say that the experience of driving the Solaris is generally more consistently favorable. It steers well in the snow and appears to have more confidence when driving on ice. Perhaps the size and weight of the automobile have any bearing on the issue.

Pros
  • The primary benefits include its softness, low noise level, and behavior on any asphalt surface, including dry, wet, with a little snow and rolling terrain, with the obvious exceptions being ice and thick snow porridge. The ride is comparable to that of decent summer tires. Excellent hold through the turn, no drift, and control that was entirely predictable.
Cons
  • The more severe the winter weather, the already poor behavior becomes even more pronounced. This is especially problematic on cold reels and ice. Both the anti-lock brake system (ABS) and the traction control system (TCS) work significantly more frequently but not as well when the vehicle is in motion. I was not really enthusiastic about driving when there was a significant amount of snow falling. Rowing, of course, in some capacity, albeit with very little enthusiasm.
