Every time I got in the car and fastened my seat belt, the top part slipped into my hand. I think that's because I'm short, so even if I adjust it from the side where it attaches to the car, it still does. This product works great. You just snap it in place and leave it there. The strap simply retracts until it hits this clip and it stays there until the next time you get in the car. No more constantly tugging and adjusting my chest strap while driving.
