Imperfect, sure.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the wall, but a lot of the reviews I've seen here are correct. It's far from ideal. I did a lot of research to get this right, so maybe some of the steps I took weren't necessary. Getting dressed hurt. I had to sand the wall and then eventually had to get a hand sander because I couldn't get it smooth enough. But when I drew this picture, it was pretty easy. I searched the internet and found the right type of foam roller, did 3 coats in 3 days. I waited a full week after painting before using the chalk for the first time to make sure it was completely dry. I had read that soft chalk is best for a blackboard and wasn't sure what it was, so I bought a plain box of Crayola anti-dust chalk. This works very well. When wiping with a damp cloth though, it looks fine from a distance, but if you look up close you can see that there is residue. (See my photos) But since I got it just for fun, the fact that there is a remainder isn't great, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I'm going to try and get a few different types of chalk and see if that makes a difference. However, I would say that in general I am very happy with it.

  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Easy maintainability
