At first we thought these chairs were fantastic: comfortable, cute, functional. But after a few months, those thoughts quickly changed. The welds holding the hydraulic system in place broke causing the chair to tip slightly on both chairs and wobble in all directions, so this is a manufacturing defect. And last week, one of them had a complete hydraulic system failure. When you sit down, the chair sinks. When you get up, it goes up. We are very disappointed with the quality of these chairs, especially the price. We've had cheap $20's for years with no problems.
