Best suited for outdoor recreation

I first used them about a year ago when returning to more aggressive hiking after a knee injury 10 months ago. Due to a healing injury I wanted to make sure I had good traction so I put them on earlier on hikes for the first few months and later took them off on patchier ice than before. In other words, they immediately saw a lot more rocks and insults than I usually let them experience. They've done a great job with everything, including an icy February trip to Angel's Landing, where I carried them for everything upstairs, where the trail begins to climb out of Fridge Canyon, constantly going back and forth between ice, concrete, and rock . They definitely have some wear and the tips of the lugs have rounded off a bit, but they are still completely structurally sound and working well. My only possible complaint is that since the cleats don't reach the edge of my sole, my effective footprint size is reduced slightly when walking on hard ice or other hard surfaces, reducing stability somewhat. I haven't had any issues with them, but I feel like I need to be a little more conscious of not twisting my ankle while wearing them. This is the case if you wear a size 10 Keen Men's Large shoe, so it's possible that a size up to XL would be helpful, given that the cleats are further apart on the larger sizes.
