Review on 42X84 Rustic Hardwood Barn Door Slab - Unfinished Knotty Alder Solid Wood by Kevin Campos

The product arrived on time and was packaged well. The knotty alder is indeed knotty with several large holes and big cracks. It did take the stain well but when it came to put the sealer on, due to the texture of the wood, there's several spots that look as if no sealer was applying at all. In my application I needed the routed gap at the bottom of the door which was a real problem to accomplish, I don't know why they can't send the boards pre scored on one end if that's going to be an issue. All in all, I think my customer is pleased with the doors but it did cause me a lot more work than I was anticipating.
- Farm doors were easy to put together and install
- Unsealed surface is susceptible to warping and cracking over time
