If you have a Ryzen 5000, download BIOS version 1.80, extract it to a external USB drive and flash it before doing anything. My version was still 1.10 and I bought it in February 2021, so don't think your board can be GTG right away. I tried plugging in a Ryzen 5 3600 but kept getting an error so I went the USB route and ended up installing Windows. Just a side note As for the board itself, this is one of the best B550 boards in terms of VRM, power consumption, audio, etc. At least according to tech reviewers. So far I have to say I'm not disappointed. I managed to get stable version 4.8 on my 5600X with 32GB G.SKill 3200 CL14 in XMP. Some quality of life features include power and reset buttons on the board itself, allowing you to test it before plugging it into a case. And debug LEDs to fix problems. I wish it had Wi-Fi, but at least it's Wi-Fi M.2 compatible if you choose to go that route. Very nice RGB effects if that's important to you.
