Review on 🐦 Clear Weatherguard Acrylic Bird Feeder, 13" - Birds Choice WGCLEAR by Audrey Ortiz

I originally bought this to hang over one of my hummingbird feeders to provide some protection from the sun. Before I could hang it up, I had a few birds that started spending time on the top of the pole that my feeder hangs from. As a result, there was a lot of bird droppings on my bird feeder. I read a review from someone saying how much they liked this weather protection to protect their feeders from bird droppings. They mentioned how easy it was to just take the guards off the hose. And I've also found that the guard itself can be easily removed from the hose and also protects the feeder itself. Other reviewers have mentioned that their hummingbirds have gone on strike and won't use the feeder when the weather guard is hanging over it, but obviously hummingbirds here in East Washington aren't that picky. I posted a guard late in the evening, just before dark, and the next morning the shuttle was manned by daybreak. It was also amazing how often I now see 2 or more hummingbirds at this particular bird feeder. Anyone who has hummingbird feeders will tell you that they do not share well and are very territorial with "their" feeder. Well, since I hung up the weather protection, they better share it. I started writing this review but never finished it and now I can add it at the end of the season. The hummingbird is no more. I hate to see her go. However, I can report that this weather protection is a complete success. The color hasn't faded at all and is as vibrant as the day I first hung it. It's really strong. It's a little pricey, but I think the cost-benefit analysis weighs for the product. I will definitely buy more of these before next season.
