This armrest cover is virtually identical to the OEM part. The material and stitching is identical. The only difference is that the vinyl is not trimmed as precisely as in the original part (see photos). It is attached with staples that are slightly larger and fewer in number and the vinyl is stretched over the screw posts and side tabs. I chose to prep this piece by trimming away the excess material from the screw posts and cutting slits to allow the vinyl to get behind the side tabs. I used clear gorilla glue to secure the bits in between the cuts to ensure they don't stretch out of place over time. As others have suggested, I tapped all the screw posts with an original screw to ensure that they would index easily when installing.All told, the prep took about 30 minutes. You could probably get this cover installed without the prep work, but it will save you hassle and probably ensure a longer life. I am pleased with this purchase and will probably get the door armrest covers as well.
