First impressions are positive so far (and fits my 6-Qt LUX perfectly)

Not used yet but here are first impressions. , and really tight (as it probably should be). The bread pan has a very small "knob" so I'm having a hard time getting enough leverage to easily slide off the plug and I have some concerns about what a mess it would be if I tried to push it to remove while it is full of food. .There is a slight smell when unpacked. After air drying all night, it still smells faintly when I press my nose against it, but not remotely. The glass base is actually just a piece of glass with polished edges. Nothing fantastic. But simplicity is the key to avoiding awkward nooks and crannies where leftovers get stuck. I pre-washed it by hand and everything was accessible with a sponge, no special brush or toothpick. However, it took some effort to stretch it back around the glass base with no gap where the two ends meet. Even when I plugged in, there was still a small gap where food/dough could get through (but not escape). But I think a tight fit is better than a loose fit. It just takes a little more practice to fully disassemble/reassemble to understand the secret. Bottom line: I don't recommend jumping in with both feet and immediately cooking something in it without taking the time to completely disassemble and cook it. put something together. But it really shows promise once a certain level of familiarity is achieved.
