Perko standard quality surface mount bulb. I installed it under my fishing platform on my Hewes to light up the back deck for night fishing. Nowadays it would be nice if Perko updated this light with an LED bulb but I will do it myself. Another thing I found odd is the use of a standard butt connector between the switch and the light socket. I replaced it with a shrink butt joint just to try and make the joint a little more watertight. I think these lamps typically last around 5 years in salt water conditions.
