I first bought this to clean a 1 month old gaming PC, not to blow dust all over the room with compressed air. This little vacuum cleaner did a pretty good job with everything that was dust and such. It probably won't extract crumbs from the depths of a mechanical keyboard, so you'll still need something to get things out of in those cases. But this is where the fan function can come in handy. However, you still need to use compressed air or an air compressor to really get the dust off some things like cooling fins if it's been on the surface for a while. The sound it produces isn't bad at around 75dB (C-weighted) at 2ft and the frequencies are mid to high so not shrill. Overall I'm happy with the performance and the price.
