Needed a straight knife to unbox and separate the pieces but assembly took one male about 15 minutes and he didn’t require any tools beyond the Allen hex key provided.Wow, so easy to use! I’m 5’2” and I was able to move it into any position, swivel and tilt it any way I needed it with ease. Very easy to figure out how as well. The only issue I came across was trying to put a cover on it. I used one of those long grabby things for short people for that.A 6’4” male was barely able to walk underneath it so if you’re taller than that, you may have to duck a little or tilt it.We already had two sandbags to throw on the base but the base on this would allow some patio tiles/ square or rectangular flat patio stones or tiles to sit on the lips of the base for weight. Of course you could screw it down if needed.The coffee color is beautiful and deep so I opted to get a cover for it but I doubt I’ll cover it every time if I am using it daily,and I will update in time if it fades quickly this summer. It will be used a lot because I will rotate it to cover my garden in the morning when I’m working in it as well.I got the light/speaker kit and it is really nice. I won’t have to bring my speaker out every day. I already have some solar lights on my patio so I may not use the Velcro straps for that, but I did see them as handy to have if I ever decide to put something there for decor.I inspected the umbrella as well and all the parts are very thick and sturdy. Honestly looked like an item that would cost twice as much.Love this umbrella!
