My Dell Inspiron 5675 had a 16 GB stick of Micron Ram in it when I purchased. I just finally got around to upgrading the RAM in preparation for Oculus Rift S coming out shortly. This was as much to add more system RAM as it was to have 2 sticks of RAM in place so the processor would work in dual channel mode with the memory. AMD Ryzen processors do really well in dual channel mode, there can be a good boast in performance. This begs the question, why do stock gaming machine makers like DELL and HP ship 8gb and 16gb systems with only one stick of RAM instead of 2 sticks of smaller size (2x8gb = 16gb) and 2x4gb = 8gb)? I guess it makes it less expensive to upgrade RAM like I did (and less expensive for the computer maker), but for people who never touch the hardware inside their computers, they are missing out on some performance boost.Anyways, I matched up the Micron stick specs to this Hynix stick and it works perfectly together. CPU-Z program reports that it is running at 1197.1 MHz in dual channel, so that is 2400 MHz of lovely harmony.I also upgraded another stock gaming system with an 8gb Hynix stick earlier this week (HP Pavilion 690-024), and had great results, so I was confident that this memory maker Timetec makes very compatible memory. This is good, because Ryzen processors can be more finicky about RAM than Intel processors. Their lifetime warranty is also important, but knock on wood, I won't have to test that one out.
