See, mistakes happen. We are all human, even the people who pack the bed covers we order. But it's also a natural human reaction to be disappointed when the bed bumper we ordered comes in the wrong size. Especially the one I was looking forward to putting on my new full size guest bed. I literally spent days searching Revain for the perfect bed skirt. It's surprisingly hard to find a decent skirt for a full-size 18-inch bed. This one kept popping up and I really liked it, but I skipped it a few times for two reasons. Firstly I didn't want to pay that much as it's just a guest bed and secondly I was looking for a light gray colour. But in the end I decided to stop there because I ended up liking that style the best. When it arrived I was maybe a little TOO excited considering it's just a bed skirt and not a publisher's clearing house awarding me a million bucks. I was keen to spread it out on the platform with a squirt gun in hand to smooth out the wrinkles, as other reviewers had suggested. I even had my husband step away from the conference call for a few minutes to help lift the mattress off the bed. I took the skirt out of the packaging, unfolded it and started laying it out on the platform. At this point my frustration was immeasurable and my day was ruined. As you can see in my photo, the box clearly states the correct size I ordered. Full. But what was in the package was definitely MUCH more. Too bad I didn't take a photo at the time when it was only platform based because it was actually quite a lot of fun. My bed looked like a small child in an oversized dress. I knew right away that this was a king and somehow it ended up in a full-size package. I've included a photo of the packaging, then the size on the label, then a photo of the bed frame on a made bed (because I forgot to take a photo before putting the mattress back in). I admit that I almost decided to keep it because it can actually work as a very light blanket. It's very sheer so the blanket underneath needs to be white for it to blend in, but I'm always looking for lightweight blankets to protect my expensive blankets and comforters from cat fur and their claws without adding extra warmth. And if this bed skirt was cheaper I would keep it for this purpose. But as I needed a bed skirt and it was clearly too big I decided to send it back for a refund. I'm sure it was just an accident but I'm hesitant to order a replacement for fear it will be the wrong size again. Because it could be a party problem. And I'm not ready to take the mattress off again, so I'll live with the cheap skirt he's wearing right now because at least it fits.
