We were thinking of getting an exercise bar for our girls for $200-$300 but didn't feel we had the space for it. It looked like a fun option, but we highly doubted it would be unsafe. You definitely have to screw the end caps into the doorway, but it's STRONG! It holds at least 140 pounds. My kids bring a lot less (ages 6 and 9) to roll over and swing CONSTANTLY. We tend to leave it on all the time, but when we have people around it turns off in seconds. I also made a rule that the exercise mat we have should be underneath when flipping or flipping, but so far there have been no falls and the barbell has never come off!
