Let me start by saying that I am a professional audio engineer. So in my day I listened to a range of speakers and headphones - from professional audio brands like ATC, Focal, PMC, JBL Westone to Panasonic, TOZO, Soundcore, MPOW. Especially among the ANC options, these are some of the worst I've experienced, particularly the "Transparency" mode. I even bought extra foam pads to try out a tighter, more customized fit. I would have thought that with the app JLab made to dive into the settings, these features would be legitimate, especially at the upper mid-range. But not like this. ANC is not up to date and the transparency is terrible. It didn't let any sound through, but through a very narrow band, and at the same time it was just something right in front of my face. Also, the transparency mode sometimes stopped working on just one ear. Adjusting your headphones for a better fit is cumbersome over time and in some cases dangerous! These headphones are small and light, so grabbing the mic is very easy and likely when we adjust the fit. And when that happens, you'll hear an extremely loud feedback squeal right in your eardrums! Ouch! A very short USB cable is attached to the charging box. So if you've been hoping to connect to a wall outlet by leaving it on your desk, you can't do without a USB extension cable. They need to be plugged into a USB outlet with a 4-inch cable, and they don't even come with one. Sound quality for music isn't as subtle as some headphones I've tried. But they were muddy in the low-mids - no matter how hard I tried tweaking the custom EQ settings in the app.
