Review on Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom πŸ“· Lens - International Version: Exceptional Image Stability & No Warranty by Som Chai ᠌

A reliable product, quality is acceptable.

For 8 months of use has passed . I remember with joy. But for today's purposes 28-105 reportage is a portrait. 55-250 is a marketing ploy - an appendage to the whale, you put a normal standard lens and the need to use 55-250 drops sharply! lies in a bag with a makeweight rarely used. After buying the 550D, it practically stopped getting sharp with it only from the F8. IMHO it is not for megapixel cameras.

Pros
  • a wide range from a portrait to a delevik on a crop, the far end is 400 mm ! at this distance without a stub it’s hard, and especially when you shoot in the morning or in the evening.
Cons
  • dark, autofocus at dusk can simply be turned off, 5-x zoom, a bit too much. It was possible to stop at 50-200 (the crop will still increase anyway), due to which it will be sharper, if you want the sharpness of a normal f6-8.

The lens is not bad much faster than 18-55 For landscapes and long distances, this is a chic lens.
