For me, the max volume level is kind of low. You can hear it from the next room, with doors closed, but once you are three rooms/walls away, one might not notice the sound. So, the minder needs to always have it in same room or nearby.I do like how the three buttons work, and having two receivers is a help.One of the buttons came with a hole, a deformity apparently from the factory, so that piece is definitely not waterproof.
