They were painting on a linen apron with a 4 year old child. Worked great. The colors were vibrant and held up to washing. Just make sure you keep them away from the little ones. PERMANENT UPDATE: A good 2 years of many washes and the colors are still strong and beautiful on the linen apron. We have now moved to creating designs on the t-shirts which come in 3 packs.
