The Nexigo N950P is a good improvement for online meetings and online chats with friends. This is a full-featured camera for webcam use. Excellent camera quality, crystal clear high definition video. As a webcam, it does everything a webcam should, but the many extra details make it really great. At first I was concerned that I would be spending too much money since I had never considered a camera with a zoom lens, but I found myself zooming almost every time I used a webcam. The main reason is not that it allows me to enlarge my face, but that enlarging my face hides everything that is going on behind me. More than once I found myself in a Zoom or Teams chat, distracted by what was happening behind the speaker. Now people only see what I want them to see. The remote also felt like a gimmick at first, but it's now being put to reasonable use. If something happens at home that you don't want others to hear, just press the remote control and the microphone will mute. Or something happens you don't want others to see, click the remote control and the video goes black. And when I decide that others can see the world around me, I simply zoom out and/or pan (left, right, up, or down). The home button centers, zooms out, and resets all settings to their defaults. In addition to muting, zooming/panning, the remote can also adjust brightness, add BLC (adds some light to a dimly lit room), and control microphone volume. I am very happy with my purchase and the N950P with 4k and additional features will serve me for a long time.
