Hello, In the interest of cat health and welfare I am compelled to write this review. I genuinely believe this product is either fake or somehow contaminated with something toxic to cats. Let me clear that up. Lysine itself is an amazing product for cats. It can literally save a life. In addition to my 5 house cats, I "sponsor" two stray cats that came with my house. One of them needed urgent veterinary care. He had a viral infection, he was deathly thin, panting, his eyes were swollen, blood was running out of his eyes and nose. After antibiotics from the vet and a stable lysine gel from me, Tom's health improved dramatically. That was with my old lysine gel. I mixed this lysine powder in Tom's food twice. After that he lost his appetite and didn't eat for 2 days! He's already so skinny it breaks my heart! I also have a 1 month old kitten that I found in the house at 1 day old. It managed to get into some adult cat food that contained a small amount of this lysine for one of my house cats. He immediately got convulsions! I thought his little heart was about to stop! A trip to the vet's emergency room cost me $700, but that's not the point. This product almost killed two of my cats! They are my frigging frigging family! Please, if you love your cats, DO NOT feed them this poison. Buy reliable lysine from a real pet supplier.
