This tool has replaced my cutting pliers as well as my wire stripper and needle for most uses. Like everything else I've used under the Knipex name, this is a very high quality tool, the handles are comfortable and the swivel fits me right out of the box. I've found the wire cutter jaw works very well for stripping the jacket of 14-4 flat wire. When properly pushed and twisted, it cuts the sheathing evenly, leaving the conductor insulation intact. However, I had to round the edges on the bottom of the nose below the scraper because I kept bumping my knuckles into points when using the tool for this purpose. The weak crimping tool really cost this tool a star, it installs Y-connectors and the like on 14-wire cables but not reliably or with ease. If you crimp frequently I would recommend another tool designed for the purpose.
