I love this filter. So one downside: these light green sponges don't keep their color for long and become dull and ugly even after rinsing. But I bought this filter for my 10 gallon balloon molly fry tank. There's virtually no suction, which is a huge relief and one of the reasons I bought it. My fry can handle it and don't suck on sponges or stick to it in any way. I love that it comes with its own bio medium, tubes and sponges. All I needed was my own bubbler. The top is easily adjustable to go up or down, I can raise it higher to add more oxygen to the water or lower it so the surface has little movement.
