Nice camera for kids!

Everything seems easy. It's not touchscreen, but it does have 4 arrow keys to navigate through menu items, which are images instead of words. So good for my 5 year old and I think she will get the hang of it once I teach her. The buttons make a loud noise when pressed, which is annoying. But I found that the sound can be turned off in the settings! The up arrow is the delete button on the browse screen. But you need to click the arrow and OK manually before it gets deleted. So three separate keystrokes to erase, and that's good. If you accidentally double-tap, the photo won't be deleted, which is good. There are two cameras. Front and selfie camera. The right arrow (square) toggles between them in camera mode. The camera itself has a small amount of internal memory, I don't know how much. But I was able to take some photos to try. Video mode will not work if you don't have the included TF card. And it comes with a TF card to USB adapter! Another nice thing is that the camera has a small flexible plastic case that it slides into and protects the TF card slot while the kid is using it so they don't pull out the TF card. I tried the video and the screen playback was weird. He walked in slow motion and with no sound. But then I realized that there are different settings and filters and I had weird settings, I changed them and shot another video and it worked! The sound quality isn't very good, but it's sufficient to understand what's going on. Has been working for 5 years. Video playback on a computer was difficult. Strange slow motion worked with QuickTime. But there weren't any good ones, so we had to download VLC player on our computer to play the video. There was also a strange ringing in the background of a video playing on VLC. Otherwise they worked. Each image has a timestamp, but you can turn this off in the settings. You also need to set the date and time correctly in the settings. There are many language options in the settings, which is very convenient. I'm not sure yet what the little music icon or cloud icon does. There's a slight delay when you hit the capture button when it actually takes a picture, unlike phones where it's instantaneous. So be sure to stop for a second after hitting the record button. There's also a countdown feature in the settings so you can place your camera and run to the spot to take a photo. The plastic of the camera itself feels a little cheap, as does the tf USB adapter. But it feels solid enough, and the flexible plastic casing on the strap feels nice. Overall I'd say don't rely on this little guy for video, but for a kid's camera I'm very happy!
