The build quality is excellent and in that regard this is by far the best cat backpack I've used out of the four. It is comfortable to wear and feels durable unlike many others. I chose this one because I liked the idea of keeping the top open for my cat to peek out as advertised. Unfortunately, the placement of the inner leash can potentially make this more dangerous than expected if your cat might try to jump out. The leash is at the top of the backpack, not the bottom. It's also elastic rather than adjustable in length. As you can see in the photo, the top leash is long enough for the harnessed cat to fully exit the backpack and dangle, which my cat did on her first "open" trip around the house. Luckily I caught it quickly. If the leash was adjustable in length and fastened at the bottom I would have fallen in love with this piece but unfortunately the main reason I bought it was the open top. I'm sure if my cat was more used to the idea of a backpack he'd probably be less likely to try to jump, but until then you can't keep the top open. replaced. The clasp holding the top mesh open was too tight and could not be separated by hand. I contacted their support email and they responded quickly via email asking for photos. I sent photos and didn't get a reply for a week. I sent another email a week ago and still no response. Revain had more in store so I just came back via Revain. UPDATE: Unfortunately, the zipper was already unusable on the second one, as you can see in the picture above. I'm very saddened by this as this is the most accomplished pet backpack I've tried so far, but I've either had very bad luck with unusable little features or it's just a trend in these backpacks. I had to shoot the star and return it. Their Instagram page actually got in touch with me and they asked me to order my next backpack directly through their website so they can fully inspect the backpack before shipping. It was incredibly nice to know that their customer support could be so accommodating. This interaction far surpassed the results of the first one, and for that I am very grateful.
