The check engine light was green but did not come on. So I let it charge for 2 1/2 hours as the description on the web said how long it takes to charge, but still - it only turns on when plugged in. When the plug is pulled, the light goes out. Also, the instructions that come with it are pretty much useless. It doesn't say anything about charging or what the indicator colors mean (I'm guessing it's more than just green). But on other hardware, green means it's charged, so it probably means that. However, no light is on when unplugged. Junk.Edit: I contacted the seller who not only refunded the cost of the flashlight but also sent a replacement free of charge. Which is pretty good customer service. Assuming the replacement works I'll upgrade this to 5 stars. 2. Edit: The replacement came 2 days later and works perfectly. I withdraw complaints.
