I moved from a big kitchen to a tiny one. I should look into alternative storage options: Magnetic Knife Rack because the knife block takes up valuable counter space. A paper towel roll holder under the counter, space is at a premium here too. Even more space in boxes. My utensil drawer is pretty tight and I have tons of kitchen spoons, tongs, pasta shovels, whisks, you name it. You don't really realize how big a 7 inch diameter size is until you get this thing. First, it's HARD. It feels like it could be covered with a layer of lead on the underside, it's quite heavy. This crap isn't going anywhere. I just went into the kitchen and took a picture. There are other pictures showing this thing with hundreds of devices, but these are MY devices. Now there are things in the gadget drawer that don't go with this thing: rolling pin, dough mixer, bowl, garlic press and the like. If it has a long stalk, it enters here. Don't judge me by this pasta server. I know I have to buy a new one. I'm just living my best life here in this new tiny apartment! Anyway, if you want a giant gadget container that could actually be a pretty handy defensive weapon for hitting a bear or a gorilla, don't lift this container.
