The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

I bought a cropped camera second to the D700, after the first shots I got the impression that the D700 would be the second camera. All my optics (16-35, 24-70 and 28-300) fit well on it, all front and back focuses converged. The first picture in the store when buying this camera is here http://fotki. . With hands at 1/20 sec and an open hole, I suggest watching this shot to everyone who screeches in discussions about 100% shake with shutter speeds longer than 1/500. So far I'm very pleased with the camera. I can’t say anything about reliability, I recently dragged it from the store. Otherwise, the Japanese have outdone themselves.

Pros

Ergonomics, very soft shutter release, two AutoBBs, the second with red retention, finally the virtual horizon does not disappear after pressing the Fn button, as in the D700. Gorgeous detail. A resized image up to 4256x2832 (like the original D700) is much better in quality than the aforementioned original D700. There is a second frame format for 15 megapixels. Very capacious battery. Excellent autofocus.
