The waterproof cover makes the outer lock waterproof. not waterproof

Bought and installed a 'waterproof wall mounted' key box outside to store a spare house key. Setting the security code is easy and the metal construction makes the lock very durable. The advertised "waterproof" is a rubber cover that fits over the lock box but does not prevent water from entering. Not a big problem and I still recommend this product.
