I got this player/radio under my kitchen corner to replace my old clock radio and I love it. The CD player works great and the FM radio picks up signals clearly. The speakers are small, but the player's enclosure adds some bass and mids to them, and it sounds great at low to medium volumes. It comes with a wall mount but didn't want to drill into my old formica backsplash so I improvised the installation with two strips of velcro and it worked great for me (please watch the video). So if I want to use it elsewhere I have the option to mount it elsewhere, or if I decide to use it in my home recording studio or office the kit also includes a stand mount. Full Control The compact remote control is easy to use and the functions are on the side of the player itself (except for the sleep/timer functions). The rest is intuitive and easy, including auto-scanning for radio stations, radio presets, a power/mode button, and FF and rewind buttons to skip stations, tracks, etc. A nice bonus of this device is the USB slot on the side of the case next to the card reader slot. Although available as an MP3 flash drive reader, it also functions as a charging port. This came in really handy for my phone when I was watching a cooking video and my phone battery was draining. Some other features I really like: There is a colored LED indicator next to the laser for the CD player, so when I switch modes (CD/FM/USB/TF/Line Out) the LED changes color according to the modes, so I don't have to look at the LCD on the side of the device. It also has beeps on power on/off as well as mode changes and a few simple voice prompts when searching for radio stations etc. The power cord for the device is a nice length and seems to work as an antenna for the FM radio as well. It's not clearly stated, but I was able to move it a bit to include a station broadcasting 50 miles away. Power is supplied by a dedicated USB/AC module and I'm guessing the unit comes with one of those. This is not common on some devices, hence "bonus points" for that. I also appreciate that this unit has a dust proof door for the CD player. I had another machine of this type that didn't have it and the laser lens needed frequent cleaning. Another feature I like is the save function. If I switch from radio to CD and vice versa, the last station/track is played automatically. Memory works the same way for a radio that is on, or for a CD player (as long as the disc stays in). phone library. Note. Bluetooth is an "input only" feature. I also tested the line out with two of my portable soundbars and it worked great. So if I really need extra volume, it's available. One final note: the remote control requires two "AAA" batteries (not included). Overall I am very satisfied with the quality of this device and its ease of use. use.
