Review on 💾 WD 2TB Elements USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive (Old Version) - WDBU6Y0020BBK-WESN by Dominic Kimbro

I've had this drive for about 6 or 7 months now. It was good and I used it on a Windows PC with no problems. I recently switched to a Mac and wanted to use this hard drive with it, but it only allowed me to read the contents of the drive, not write it. So I followed WD Elements instructions to use it on my Mac. I backed up all my files to my computer so I didn't lose anything and then followed the steps that required reformatting them for use with a Mac. I went into Disk Utility and erased it, formatting it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) (this was recommended). It said all data would be erased (which was fine as I had a backup copy of it) but then couldn't format it. I tried every fix they had and nothing worked. I can see the drive attached to my Mac, but I can't mount it or do anything with it. So I went back to my computer and thought I could get it to work, but now my computer doesn't even "see" the drive. I really liked this CD until it happened.
