Review on 💧 Optimize Indoor Comfort with the Universal Humidifier Solenoid Valve - UHS24 by Travis Showcase

I bought one of these in February 2015 and it lasted a few months this winter and then all of winter 2015-2016. October 2016 I hadn't turned on my home humidifier when I noticed the magnet had failed when open. Am I unlucky with that one solenoid or are they all bad quality? To stay positive, I ordered the same brand as a replacement. The new magnet is (permanently) attached to the bracket very crookedly. In the photo I have added some hardware to show the manufacturing defect. The non-standard mounting angle made mounting the electromagnet difficult, but not impossible. That works fine. However, I wonder if a manufacturer willing to sell something with such an obvious visible flaw would hesitate to sell products with hidden flaws? The solenoid is manufactured by Jia Yin but packaged by ESP (Energy Saving Products) and sold by a third party. On a positive note, ESP packaged the solenoid along with a few different sizes of fittings that you may need (I didn't need them for my AprilAir system) so it's a "one stop shop".
