My original fuel tap on my Scrambler lasted 16 years. I replaced it with an OEM Polaris in March 2017 (now March 2021). Why spend so much on a factory? Because replacing that valve is a headache and I was hoping never to do it again on a 16 year old quad. (purchased new summer 2001). Wow, I was wrong. This replacement leaks heavily in the ON (but not OFF or RESERVED) position. I can ride RESERVE but it's not ideal, it's a good way to get stuck on an empty tank. I see another reviewer wrote that it took a year. I think I was a little lucky, but not much of a consolation. This time I'm risking a half price aftermarket valve. PS: I'm sure someone will speculate that "he must use some caustic ethanol fuel". The answer to that will never be, never will be.
