Great product, I personally have two sets for each of our vehicles, one for a Toyota RAV 4 4WD and one for a compact 4 door front wheel drive sedan. Able to safely drive both cars up and down steep hills etc over snow and ice without losing traction (only used one set on a few cars with no problems but decided to upgrade to two sets of cars for an extra margin of safety ). If you want them to do what you expect them to do, like any product you need to use them carefully, not drive them on clean roads for long periods of time (does they wear out, witnessed this at my place of work), remove any rock chips that you will notice. glued between tire treads before installation (stops wear on toe surface holes, still works well with small to medium holes). One final recommendation: buy large, full-length rubber gloves to put on and take off your socks, keep them along with wet wipes, a couple of old towels, and extra-large garbage bags so you can get your knees through snow and snow. putting on wet socks when taking them off in the car (learned the hard way, putting socks on and off quickly and easily is a messy job). For more than 30 years at work and in my personal life I have used all types of metal chains, rubber and cord chains, but for safely getting from point A to point B on snow and ice, AutoSocks are my number one choice. (No, I don't work for an AutoSock supplier, I just like them).
