Not only does this product work, it performs even better than expected. With this adapter you get two plugs, one for a grounded plug and one for an ungrounded one. What I appreciate most is the light that makes it clear that it works. Many sockets in Australia have switches and we don't always know if they are on or off. With an adapter, everything is easy. When electricity flows, its light is on. However, this is a dim light and if the table lamp is too close you may have to turn off the lamp to see it. I found the aspect of being able to plug two things into an adapter and have them work wonderfully useful (when did YOU have too many outlets in a hotel room?) and a light that tells me electricity is actually going beyond that is useful this journey. Buy it, you won't regret it. The only improvement would be if the pins fell through the device, but I don't see how that could happen with this grounded adapter. I just put them in a pocket with the tines facing each other. Problem solved.
