I bought this panel primarily to power a small 12 volt fan I pulled from my computer to cool herbs and bulbs in my garden shed dry. The fan is rated at 0.63A and performs like a champ when powered directly from this panel. I also checked the USB charging ports and they both charged my iPhone a few percent in a minute or two. My secondary use would be charging external batteries. The USB power adapter is on the back of the device and has two open slots, so I'm not sure how well they hold up to the weather, but the rest of the device is thin and slightly flexible. No bulky metal frame. There are 4 mounting grommets, and the package includes a pair of carabiners and 4 suction cups that fit into the grommets for mounting on windows or smooth surfaces. It seems well made, of acceptable quality and with good performance.
