After years of tormenting over an Xbox 360 Elite that constantly sounded like a Boeing 747 about to take off or a time-traveling DeLorean that hovering over a thunderstorm and producing enough hot air to take on Mitt Romney, I finally broke down and bought a new Model E. Unless there's a disk in the drive, it's TOTALLY SILENT, and even then it is it pretty quiet. It has a LARGE low speed fan in the top vents covering half of the top surface. so it stays nice and cool. The best way to watch streaming movies, period. Built-in WiFi is also a big plus! It's an absolutely remarkable piece of hardware, backed by a still-great online service and a massive library of great games. This is the machine Microsoft should have released from the start. I would definitely recommend this to *anyone* who missed the Xbox360 or just want to replace their noisy old one. Forget XBONE or PS4 - buy this and get instant access to a large number of games at lower prices.
